TOPICS OF INTEREST:
Papers, Tutorials and other submissions are invited on topics related to (but not limited to) the following areas. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the VLSID 2015 Conference Proceedings and will be submitted to IEEEXplore ®.VLSI Design, EDA and Design Methodologies: Digital Design, Analog/RF/mixed signal design, Synthesis, DFT and test, Verification (simulation and formal), Power analysis and low-power design, Physical design, Design for manufacturability and yield, packaging and board design, Thermal analysis and temperature aware design, technology CAD, CMOS sensors and MEMS, nanoscale computing and nano-electronics, High performance computing, Multi-core and parallel architectures, Networks-on-chip, FPGA-based design.
Embedded Systems & Software: Hardware/Software co-design and verification, ESL, Methodology, Embedded software tools and protocols, Reconfigurable systems, Embedded System design for different applications such as DSP, wireless, communications, encryption, security, compression, hybrid systems-on-chip, Case studies, Design flows and Methodology
IoT, Sensors and Wearbles: Sensor and Sensor based systems, MEMS, IoT platforms, Emerging protocols, Technology and designs for Wearables, Ultra-low power devices, Product Design in any of the mentioned areas
Submission Categories
Regular Papers: Please submit previously unpublished papers electronically at the conference website. The manuscript should clearly state the novel ideas, results and applications of the contribution. Submissions will undergo a DOUBLE BLIND REVIEW.
Half-day and Full-day Tutorials: We invite proposals for hands-on tutorials that explore an advanced technology in the area of VLSI or Embedded Systems. Proposals for full or half-day tutorials are invited.
Embedded Tutorials, Special Sessions, Panels: Proposals for embedded tutorials (short tutorials) and special sessions (a set of related papers on a subject) in emerging areas will be considered for inclusion in the technical program. For panels, proposals must be submitted with an abstract, together with the names of panelists.
Design Contest: We solicit entries for the design contest from full-time graduate and undergraduate students, and professionals from industry and research establishments. Entries must be submitted electronically on the conference Web-Site.
User Track: The goal of this track is to provide a platform for the design community to present and discuss practical aspects of all stages of design, including architecture, system design, RTL implementation, circuit design, verification, CAD flows, timing closure, DFT and physical design – using actual chip implementations as examples.
Exhibits: Please contact the exhibits chair to explore opportunities for companies and institutions to display their products/services.
Fellowships: The conference will award fellowships, based on need and merit, to partially cover expenses of attendees from India.
Candidates with accepted submissions will be given preference. Application details will be posted at the website.
SUBMISSIONS:
All submissions should be made electronically via the conference website by the dates mentioned below:Your manuscript should clearly state the novel ideas, results, and applications of the contribution. Paper submissions will undergo a double-blind review. Papers must be in PDF format and not exceed 6 single-spaced pages including figures and references in two-column IEEE conference paper format. Papers exceeding the page limit or identifying the authors will be rejected without review.
